Background and History
Since 1998, Gomal Medical College has stood as a center of medical learning and healthcare service in Dera Ismail Khan and the wider south region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Established to meet the growing need for skilled health professionals in Pakistan, GMC has grown from its early years into a recognized public-sector institution affiliated with Khyber Medical University and regulated by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Our mission is simple and enduring: to educate physicians and allied health professionals who combine clinical excellence with genuine compassion for the people they serve. Through our MBBS program, students train not only in the classroom but at the bedside, gaining hands-on clinical experience at our affiliated teaching hospitals, including DHQ Teaching Hospital, Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital and women & children hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.
